Premier High School of Austin
The Premier High School of Austin campus was opened in the fall of 2001 and we have grown to over 200 students and continue to expand. At PHS of Austin we set high academic, attendance, and behavioral expectations for our students. We require all our students to take part in all components of the PHS methodology including participation in all TAKS-preparation classes, daily writing prompts, and group classroom activities so that students will be better prepared to master all components of the TEKS, the foundation of the TAKS test. The future of the Austin PHS campuses is to transition all students into post-secondary education, including but not limited to universities, colleges, trade schools, and associate degree programs. Part of the transition process will include dual enrollment college classes in high school. A majority of our juniors and seniors regularly participate in the Austin Community College Early College Start Program. Students participate in dual enrollment classes earning both high school and college credit concurrently. Students are eligible to earn up to 30 credits towards their college degree while in high school. PHS of Austin is currently accepting enrollment applications for the 2008-2009 school year. Our office hours run Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We are closed from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. daily for lunch. Please call, email, or stop by if you or your student is interested in Premier High School of Austin.
